π« What is DSC?
DSC stands for District Selection Committee. It is a recruitment board organized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh through the School Education Department. The DSC exam is conducted to recruit qualified candidates for teaching positions in government-managed schools, including Zilla Parishad, Municipal, Tribal Welfare, and Model Schools across the state.
π― Objective of AP DSC Recruitment 2025
The main objective of the AP DSC recruitment is:
- To fill vacant teacher posts in government and tribal welfare schools.
- To improve the quality of education in rural and urban areas.
- To ensure qualified and trained educators are appointed in primary, upper primary, and high schools.
- To support educational development goals set by the Andhra Pradesh government, especially in underprivileged and remote regions.
π©βπ« Role & Responsibilities of Teachers Under AP DSC
Once selected, candidates will work as School Assistants, Language Pandits, SGTs (Secondary Grade Teachers), PETs (Physical Education Teachers), and Principals in various schools. Their roles include:
π Teaching Duties:
- Deliver subject-specific lessons (Math, Science, Social, Languages, etc.)
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and conduct classroom activities.
- Evaluate studentsβ progress through assignments, tests, and assessments.
π Student Mentorship:
- Guide and motivate students in academic and co-curricular activities.
- Help slow learners with remedial classes.
- Support students’ emotional and psychological growth.

- Participate in school administration duties and parent meetings.
- Help implement educational policies at the school level.
- Coordinate with headmasters and department staff for curriculum execution.
