Job Description

Job Title: Graduate Trainee – IT Service Desk

Cognizant’s IT Service Desk is a centralized team that provides technical support to clients, troubleshooting IT issues to ensure smooth functioning of computer systems and IT services. The Service Desk supports 90 global clients across different continents with a team of 15,000 professionals.

Technological Advancements:

  • AI Chatbots: Automate and streamline support processes using natural language processing for instant responses to common user queries.
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Automate repetitive and rule-based tasks to free up analysts’ time for complex issues.

Candidates must be flexible to relocate to Bengaluru, Chennai, or Kolkata as per business requirements and demand.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation Batch: 2022 & 2023
  • Education: Any 3-year Graduation program (UG full-time degree)
  • Academic Performance: Minimum 50% in X, XII, Diploma, or UG
  • Nationality: Open to Indian nationals only
  • Flexibility: Willing to work in any location, shift timing, and technology
  • Background Verification: Final onboarding is subject to satisfactory background verification

Ensure your PAN card has both first name and last name updated. The PAN card name and the superset registered name must match for successful background verification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries.
  • Ticket Management: Log and track support tickets, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work with other IT teams to escalate complex issues and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Documentation: Maintain knowledge base articles and documentation to enhance self-service options and facilitate efficient problem-solving.

Role Expectations

  • Client Focus: Ability to work with users from different communities and cultures across the globe.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and ability to work in shifts and from the office.
